Qualicum Cat Rescue
We recently heard from the home and owner of "Chester" the grey Persian who was adopted to a loving home on the mainland.
Chester's new person reports:
"He loves to go out on the deck, and shows me his athletic prowess by climbing the eight foot high lattice fence on one side of the deck so he can perch on the top and survey his surroundings. He is an expert at identifying several types of bugs and many birds. He seems to have a particular dislike for the crows that land on the roof just feet away."
Our latest resident, older cat to find a fabulous home is "Pheobe". Her new owner reports she is doing very well. Her favourite lounging place is the porch, and although she is very elderly she still finds the energy to catch moths on the lawn. Pheobe has even made friends with "Bubba", the other cat in the house. Apparently "Bubba" is thrilled as he wanted a new friend so very much. Now everyone is happy!!!
We always enjoy hearing from our adopters. Please write, email or send pictures of your newly adopted pets. We love to hear from you!
Our Featured Pet...Zoe - "HAS BEEN ADOPTED"!!!! YAHOO!!!came to us with only 3 legs. Apparently Zoe was hit by a car and her leg was too damaged to be repaired. Her owners did not have the funds to amputate her leg, therefore, she was surrendered to the local SPCA. Zoe is a young, female, tabby, who has tons of energy, especially when she is rolling in cat nip! This little girl gets along just fine with 3 legs and unless you know she is missing a leg, you wouldn't believe it. If you have room in your heart for a very "abled" 3 legged cat, please give Zoe a chance.

Who We Are
Over the past 12years, over 1000 cats and kittens have found loving homes through this facility. All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and treated for parasites, prior to rehoming. Once the cats have been vaccinated and thoroughly health checked they have the luxury of roaming freely within the store, allowing them to socialize with other cats, dogs, children and adults. This stress free environment allows interested adopters to interact with the cats and observe their true personalities.
Adopting a friend
The low cost, subsidized adoption fee of $100.00 includes the following:
Spay or neuter, vaccination - feline leukemia included, tattoo, parasite control, free veterinarian check-up, 30 days of medical coverage through the "Shelter Care - Pet Insurance Program".
