Join Urban Lions for a fundraiser to help the animals in our care requiring veterinary care including the most important thing, Spaying and Neutering of the animals.
Who We Are
Urban Lions is a no-kill, non-profit group located in Vancouver, BC. We rescue stray & feral cats from the streets of Vancouver and Burnaby. In addition, for those cats too wild to tame, we run a trap, spay/neuter, vaccinate, return program (TNVR) to stop the cycle of reproduction on the streets as well as ensure that the cats we return do no die of diseases. In 2004, our first year of operations as a group (all of our members previously did this work independently), we ran our programs from September to December and were able to spay/neuter over 50 cats as well as having approx. 20 cats in our care at this time. We are very proud of our accomplishments and our goal has been reached to Spay/Neuter 150 cats in 2006. Thank you to all our volunteers efforts!!

Urban Lions adopts to INDOOR ONLY HOMES, no exceptions. Our cats have already endured life on the streets and were lucky enough to survive, we never want them going back to that.
All Urban Lions cats are Spayed/Neutered, Vaccinated (including vaccination against Feline Leukemia), deflead, dewormed, received mite treatment as well as being tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). ALL cats are negative for both FeLV & FIV unless CLEARLY stated on their webpage.

Urban Lions does not have a public shelter and we rely on foster families to house our cats that DESPERATELY need off the streets as well as housing them in a private shelter facility. If you are interested in fostering, please contact Melissa at info@urbanlions.com
