We are a non profit independant rescue located in the interior of BC. We are serious dog lovers and are lucky to have tons of space for the dogs to run and be loved. We have been involved with rescue for many years and started with dobes about 6 yrs ago now.

We are available to assist any homeless Dobermans based on urgency of the situation. In some cases, we can help you rehome your dobe and we prefer that they stay in your home until a new home is approved. In some cases we will request that the dogs come to us for a full assessment prior to adoption. All of our rescues stay in our home (we do not have a kennel) as members of the family, this way we can get to know them and can provide you with as much information as we can about each dobe's personality and specific requirements if any.

If you are looking to adopt a doberman, we require a potential adopter to fill out an application and participate in a phone interview and a meeting in your home with a representative of our rescue. After review of your application we will attempt to contact you via phone for an interview and general chat about the dog you are applying for. From there, we will conduct a home visit - however this may be done by one of our volunteers if you are a great distance away. You may also fill out an application and request to be kept on file for a dobe with certain perks or energy level that your home would compliment.

Once we receive the completed application, we will check your references and conduct a telephone interview that will allow you to ask further questions. This will assist both of us to decide whether or not the dobe you are applying for would be a match and your home for them. Once you have been approved, you may set up a date to meet the dog, and if the homecheck has been completed, you may take your new member home. Our adoption fee for our dobermans is usually between $100.00 and $400.00 unless you are advised otherwise. Our dogs are spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, receive necessary medical attention and are up to date on vaccines prior to adoption. If a dog is believed to be up to date on vaccines, based on a provided history, we do not re-vaccinate.

Applications are subject to reference checks and a home visit. We reserve the right to refuse any application based on any information and/or the needs of any particular dog. You may not receive an invitation for a phone interview once you submit your application. This is likely due to the fact that we may not have the type of dobe you are looking for, or the dynamics of your home may differ from what a particular dog requires. This could be as simple as you having a cat, where a dog is not good with cats or dogs when a dog is not good with other dogs. Some cases we are looking for something specific for a dog, based on the dog's requirements. It is important to note that if we don't contact you for a phone interview it does not necessarily mean that your application has been denied, it's because we simply can't make a good match for you and/or dog at that time. In those cases we try to forward you to shelters or other locations that may have a dobe available for adoption. We do not contact applicants who's applications are not approved. Please feel free to contact us to confirm either way.
