For those of you who not familiar with our program it goes like this. When you adopt a pet through our shelter you will receive a voucher worth $30.00 to use towards a spay/ neuter or vaccinations for you new pet. This voucher is good for six months. So no excuses, you have plenty of time to redeem it at the many Veterinarians who welcome them. Veterinarians from out of town such as Prince Rupert and many from Smithers have also joined in. We have even had the voucher redeemed as far away as Kamloops. Its a GGGGGGReat Thing!!! It catching on and again thank you for all your generous support. If you choose not to use the voucher the money received will be alocated into the Terrace Animal Shelter Injured Animal Fund which helps many injured animals get a second start. Mind you we would much rather see you use the voucher; it offers a good healthy, start for your own pet.
OUR PRICES:
DOGS: $80.00 with a $30.00 voucher back to you (this does not include applicable licensing fees).
CATS: $50.00 with a $30.00 voucher back to you.

We now offer pet cremation services for your cherished pets. Our prices are very reasonable and we can have your pets cremains back to you usually within two to three weeks. If you have any questions or inquiries regarding this service, please call the shelter and we'd be most happy to provide you with information you need to help you through this difficult time. PLEASE NOTE: New pricing takes affect as of January 10, 2006. Please inquire within.
Who We Are
We are a municiapally run Animal Shelter dedicated to caring for lost, abandoned and/or unwanted domestic animals within the City of Terrace limits. We offer several public services such as; dog control, licensing, adoptions, boarding, cremation and have a self-serve bathing service.
Adopting a friend
We do our best to accomodate the needs of our animals in our adoption process. We ask potential owners to take the time to really get to know the animal they are interested in by taking them for walks or socializing with them in some way to form a bond of sorts. We also ask that you do think it over for a period of a day or two to decide; owning a pet takes true dedication and responsibility that must be made by all family members involved. We in turn are dedicated to giving you the best information as possible to help you on your way.
