Miss Kitty's Cat House
MISS KITTY'S CATS OF THE WEEK
*****YOUR CAT RECOGNIZES YOUR VOICE BUT JUST ACTS TOO COOL TO CARE!*****
Miss Kitty's has begun a very special program called the MISS KITTY'S LONELY HEARTS KLUB. This is a program for cats, that for whatever reason have been overlooked for adoption. They may be shy or just because they are adults, when new owners are searching for kittens. Sometimes they have unique personality traits, (imagine THAT in a cat!), that requires a special someone to accept them for who they are.
If you are that special someone. please take a look at our Lonely Hearts Klub members for consideration- they may be the LOVE of your life!!
Cats with the MK Lonely Hearts Klub designation may be available for a reduced adoption fee for that "special someone".
Miss Kitty’s Cat House celebrated the grand opening of their new house on June 27th, 2010. Please visit the new house at 302 N Alarcon, on the NW corner of Alarcon and Sheldon.
Since we started on August 1, 2002, Miss Kitty's Cat House volunteers have
rescued and found homes for almost 4,000 cats and kittens. We are very
thankful that these cats and kittens found good homes with loving new
families. We are also thankful for all the support from the community and
the cat lovers all over the country. This allows us to continue our efforts
of reducing the pet overpopulation and rescuing and finding good homes for
our cute little creatures. We are NOT a long term boarding facility and NOT a sanctuary.
We are desperately in need of foster homes for adult cats and kittens. We
also are in need of volunteers to do cleaning duties at the house, do
adoptions at Petsmart or the house, or participate in our fundraisers
throughout the year. For more information please call 928-445-5411 and leave a message if no one answers. Please
mail any donations to Miss Kitty's Cat House, 302 N Alarcon Street,
Prescott, Arizona 86301.
We have several events through out the year:
Miss Kitty's Annual Rummage sale is a big event held in May at the local Prescott College. Call the cat house for more information, 928-445-5411.
Miss Kitty's Cat House is also officially registered at the Last Minute Stocking Stuffer Bazaar which is held annually in December, at the Prescott Activity Center located at 824 East Gurley Street. For more information call 928-445-5411.
Who We Are
Miss Kitty's Cat House is a small non-profit, no-kill cat rescue and adoption
facility, solely operated by volunteers and donations. We have been granted
501(c)(3) status by the I.R.S. Miss Kitty's is located in a small house at 302 N Alarcon Street in Prescott, Arizona, where
approximately 20 adult cats live and play until they are adopted. The cats roam free in the
house and are cared for by a variety of dedicated volunteers who come in daily. There are NO people who live at MK!
When you visit Miss Kitty's you will meet all of our cats on neutral ground.
We also have other adult cats and kittens in foster homes in the Prescott
Adopting a Friend
The cats and kittens in our program have all been spayed or neutered, vaccinated and checked for good health (feline leukemia and FIV). The adoption fee is $85 for kittens, cats 1-5 yrs is $75, and cats over 5 yrs $65 (a small price for the endless companionship of a feline friend).
Come Visit Us!
We have open house for adoptions on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The rest of the week we are open by appointment only. Please call us at 928-445-5411 to come to our cat house and visit with our friends.
Miss Kitty's Cat House also has cats and kittens available for adoption
at Petsmart in Prescott (Next to Costco) on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We also partner with Petsmart in Adopt-A-Thons several times a year.
