Ironwood offers our "Pigs Without Parents" sponsorship program for those unable to adopt. Your tax-deductible donation will provide food and health care for the pig of your choice. For more information, please call or email.
Who We Are
The Ironwood Pig Sanctuary is dedicated to eliminating the suffering of pot bellied pigs by promoting spaying and neutering, assisting owners and sanctuaries, and providing a permanent home in a safe nurturing environment for those that are abandoned, abused, neglected or unwanted.
We are a non-profit organization always in need of volunteers. There are many volunteer opportunities including food pickups, transporting, mailings, cleaning, etc. Please contact us if you interested in helping at the sanctuary.
Adopting a friend
All our pigs are spayed and neutered before adoption. We do require home checks to be sure that our pigs will be safe and properly cared for. Pigs can make very loving companions and do best as outdoor or indoor/outdoor pets. Pigs need a place where they can root and wallow because, being pigs, they will root up whatever is there!
Come Visit Us!
We'd love to have you come and see our pigs at the sanctuary. The pigs always enjoy visitors and the extra belly rubs! We are located off I10 between Tucson and Phoenix. Tours are given on Saturdays and Sundays between 10:00 and 2:00 by appointment only. Please call or email for directions and to schedule a visit.
