Our Mission
SCARS is a home-based and foster-based volunteer run 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue in Lake Havasu City, AZ. We are dedicated to saving the lives of dogs/puppies and cats/kittens that are unwanted (owner-surrendered, abandoned, stray), that are abused and/or neglected, and those that are at risk of being euthanized in kill shelters.
Our mission is to advocate for all animal welfare and animal rights by petitioning for stricter animal protection laws. Our goal is to educate the public on the importance of spaying/neutering, vaccinations, ID tags/microchipping, proper healthy food options and basic training resources to ensure pets have the best care possible and live long happy healthy lives.
Adoption Policy
All adoptions require an Adoption Application, Meet & Greet Interview, Home Check, Adoption Contract & Adoption Fee.
