Stella

Tess

Flowery Princess needs a home to make her furry life complete! Stella is a beauty And she knows it. She is such a sweetie, and would be best in a home where she can be the dominant or only dog. She is a petite girl (25-30 pounds), and has the cutest, floppiest ears ever! She is only 2 and would love to find her forever home soon so that she can settle in and know what the good life is all about! The best owner for Stella is someone who is willing to work with her, she has been known to be protective while she is in her crate, but she is such a good dog—with some training and love she will be a perfect beauty in your home!

Our adoption fees includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, rabies vaccine and license for dogs over 4 months of age, free health exam, and much more!

17 kittens were in need of a place to stay. They had been the “leftovers” after a hard week of many many kittens coming into Pima Animal Care Center and as many rescues trying like crazy to save them all. The kittens are now almost 6 weeks old and will be ready for new homes soon.
Tess was named because she is the cute-tess. She has a foot fetish and loves to bite toes.
$95 for kittens and $85 for adult cats, or take advantage of our new "Catpatibles" program and adopt two (from the same foster) for a reduced rate!

Adoption fee covers spay/neuter, booster(s), rabies booster if over 4 months in age, FIV/FeLV testing, a free vet visit and lots more!

Who We Are

Animal Rescue Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 charity dedicated to reducing euthanasia of adoptable pets through foster care and shelter adoption programs, helping to bring a quality life to all abandoned, abused and neglected animals in Tucson. ARF provides support to the community through our hotline and adoption events, providing information and referrals on the following:

  • Adopting a pet

  • Spay/neuter

  • Vaccinations and animal care

  • Training and community resources

ARF works in collaboration with Pima Animal Care Center to facilitate adoptions of homeless and abandoned animals. Through this partnership, ARF:

  • Provides adoption services at PACC on weekdays and on Saturdays and Sundays maintaining adoption hours when the facility would otherwise be closed.

  • Organizes and conducts off site adoption days for PACC animals.

  • Rescues animals at risk of euthanasia because of overcrowding and places them into volunteer foster homes until permanent homes can be found.

Since July 1, 2001, ARF has facilitated the rescue of more than 2,000 homeless, abused and abandoned pets each year. Through the assistance of volunteers and financial supporters, we are able to continue our mission and rescue Tucson's homeless pets - providing them with loving care while they await their forever home.

ARF is always looking for people who have time to volunteer. We require assistance in the following areas:

  • Facilitate adoptions at local adoption centers.

  • Transport pets to and from adoption centers.

  • Assist with adoptions at Pima Animal Care Center.

  • Care for pets while they await adoption.

  • Professional assistance in web or graphic design, accounting, fundraising and volunteer management.

Adopting a Pet

Our available pets can be visited during normal adoption hours each week. In addition, if you are unable to see a pet during normal hours, we will work with you to make special arrangements for you to meet the pet privately or with your existing pets.

Adoption prices are as follows:

  • Adult cats: $85.00, kittens: $95.00 or through our special Catpatibles program, 2 cats can be adopted that are housed at the same foster home for a reduced price.

  • Adult dogs: $100.00

  • Specialty breed dogs and puppies under 4 months: $150.00

All ARF pets are adopted with current vaccinations and are spayed/neutered. Dogs are microchiped and if over 4 months are rabies vaccinated and licensed. All of these services are included in the adoption fee. In addition, each adopter is presented with training resources and a free veterinary visit at a participating veterinarian.

All adoptions are subject to application approval. Renters must provide written documentation in their lease or from their landlord stating they are allowed to house the pet they wish to adopt and have paid any security deposits prior to adoption.

Our Partnership with Pima Animal Control

In addition to taking pets from PACC that are at risk of euthanization caring for them at our facilities and foster homes, ARF's unique partnership with PACC enables us to extend weekend adoption hours at the PACC facility so that more pets are able to be adopted. Each weekend, ARF facilitates the adoption of 40 or more pets that would not have the chance to be adopted because the facility would be closed. ARF voluteers on on-site during all weekend hours to facilitate and support adoptions.

To adopt a pet from Pima Animal Care Center, feel free to go during any of the facility hours or ARF hours.

Become a Foster Parent

Our pet fosters provide an incredible service. As a foster parent, you will provide an immidiate home for a pet in need of care. ARF is a 100% foster care organization so the number of animals we pull from PACC is only limited by the number of loving foster homes we have. You truly save a life! ARF provides all resources for the foster pet such as medical and veterinary care, food and supplies. When the pet is available for adoption, simply bring them in for adoption days.
