July, 2011 -- Tough Love is in the middle of some major changes, as we will be adopting out dogs across the west coast and Arizona! We will officially be incorporating in Washington State as a non-profit, and changing our name from Revamped Rovers to Tough Love Pit Bull Rescue to reflect our shift away from all breeds and on to pit bull type breeds and also to promote clearer advocacy goals for bully breeds in particular. Please stay tuned for more exciting developments! November, 2010 -- Special thanks to Kris Carlson for his generous $500 donation to Tough Love. The money will be used to vaccinate and spay/neuter the litter of five husky puppies we recently rescued, as well as fund additional spay/neuters of new rescues! Such kindness is appreciated beyond words!

June, 2010 -- Tough Love administration HAS MOVED TO SEATTLE WA! Soon we will begin helping animals in need in the PNW. Please note, though, we still have foster homes in TUCSON, Arizona, and PHOENIX, Arizona and may offer pets for adoption in all locales.

Who We Are

Tough Love Pit Bull Rescue is a small rescue with a focus on re-homing pit bull type dogs. All dogs are fostered in a home environment, thoroughly temperament evaluated, and properly socialized. Most are started on basic commands. Our goal is to adopt out well-rounded dogs into appropriate forever homes.

First of all, thank you for considering a rescue dog as your next furry family member! By adopting instead of purchasing a dog through a breeder, you are singlehandedly helping to quash the homeless pet epidemic in your community!

Now here are the hoops we're asking you to jump through:

Tough Love requires a completed application and phone interview before any adoption will be considered. We may further require a home visit. Please bring all family members, including furry ones, when you come meet your potential new fur-kid!

Tough Love does not have a formal shelter facility; instead each dog or puppy is fostered in a loving home with one of our dog-savvy volunteers. Please send us an email or give us a call if you'd like to set up an appointment to meet a dog. Please be aware that not all our dogs are listed on petfinder at any given moment. We do require a adoption application be submitted before a visit will be scheduled.
