We are always accepting applications as we like to have good homes approved and waiting to go when the right dog comes into rescue, which we know always happens. Who We Are...
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER but rather a LOCAL purebreed rescue organization affiliated with the Vizsla Club of America and the Rio Salado Vizsla Club www.rsvc.net. Generally the animals we rescue are owner surrendered or a shelter rescue and are fostered in PRIVATE HOMES with generous volunteer families. This allows us to spend time with the dog and evaluate their temperment so that we can make the best match possible. We generally foster dogs in our program for 2-4 weeks before placing them for adoption. This allows us to work on socialization, basic obediance, house manners or any other challenges that need to be addressed to help ensure a "forever" placement. All dogs placed for adoption are spayed/neutered and all shots will be current. An adoption fee will be requested of the adoptive family to cover the costs of the vetting of the dog.
Adopting a friend
To be considered for adopting a resuce Vizsla, please email me at the address below and I will send you our adoption application and any specific info about the breed that you request. You can email it back to azvizslarescue@cox.net. We will review your questionaire and then call you to go over your application and arrange a home visit. Once you are approved as an adoptive home, we begin the process of matching a dog in need of a forever home with what you are looking for in your adopted Vizsla.
