If you are interested in one of our featured animals - note the animal ID # and either call (243-5900) or visit our shelter. Please be aware that the animals featured on our pet list may be adopted before you arrive - please call first.
NOTE - Animals with "Rescue", "Sick Bay" , or "Special Needs" listed by their names have special adoption needs. They are not necessarily "sick", (other than those being treated in Sick Bay for upper respiratory infections.) We strive to adopt out as many animals as possible, but want you to know about any special needs up front, especially if you have other pets at home. Animals listed as "URGENT" are in danger of being euthanized within 24-48 hours if not adopted.
To ADOPT a SPECIAL NEEDS (Rescue List) Animal:
**Go to the rear of PACC (south side) and enter through the intake door.
**Ask for JUSTIN (Animal Advocate at PACC) or JOSE (Rescue Coordinator), or the Rescue Tech and let them know you want to do a Special Needs Adoption and give them the number of the animal you are interested in.
**CALL JUSTIN AT 243-5929 or JOSE, (Rescue coordinator) AT 243-5936 or 247-2888 for further information but do NOT depend on a MESSAGE to save an animal's LIFE.
Special Needs Adopters are responsible for following through with the following requirements:
**All animals must be seen and treated by a Vet until illness, injury or condition is cured.
**All animals must be spayed or neutered within a reasonable time after being treated or cured.
**Once the animal is well, call JOSE (Rescue Coordinator) AT 520 243-5936 or 520 247-2888 to schedule the spay or neuter at PACC.
**All necessary paperwork and proof of treatment and spay/neuter must be returned to PACC as instructed.
**You will NOT receive your refund of $45.00 unless ALL requirements are met.

TEMPORARY PRICING FOR ALL CATS UNTIL FEBRUARY 12TH: Now through February 12th ALL cats at PACC are at "NAME YOUR OWN PRICE" pricing!!!
Beginning Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, PACC will be resurfacing the concrete floors in each dog kennel with an epoxy floor coating. During the resurfacing, several kennels at a time will be unavailable for 10 to 12 days. To reduce stress on the animals, PACC is reducing the cost of adoption to a "name your price" fee for selected animals. More than 250 animals are available for adoption.
These "Construction Discounts" will be offered as along as the resurfacing work is under way. Those wishing to adopt an animal can name their price on select animals throughout the shelter. However, dogs 3 months old and older are subject to an additional $15 licensing fee.
An anonymous donor has offered to pay for the first eight adoptions. Others who wish to donate adoption fees may contact PACC at 243-5969. Pima Animal Care Center is located at 4000 N.Silverbell Road. Adoption hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
ALL ANIMALS ADOPTED FROM US WILL GO HOME WITH THEIR RABIES VACCINATION CURRENT (PETS OVER 4 MONTHS OLD), ONE MONTH FREE PET INSURANCE AND BE SPAYED/NEUTERED (UNLESS HEALTH ISSUES NEGATE THE SURGERY AT THE TIME OF ADOPTION.) NEW ADOPTERS ALSO RECEIVE A SPECIAL "ADOPTION KIT" FILLED WITH TIPS, COUPONS AND PET FOOD SAMPLES.
