Celtic needs to have very expensive hip sugery as he has severe dysplasia in both hips and arthritis. We are working to raise the money to cover this surgery. Paypal is a simple way to help Celtic. Thank you very much for helping him. Celtic had his surgery and is doing much better. Thank you everyone who has helped this wonderful dog live a longer, healthier and happier life!
Our new boy Aiden who was a stray and found in eastern New Mexico is also going to have to have hip surgery on both hips. He doesn't know he has a problem at this point. We are guessing that he is 4-6 years old. His hips are deformed but surgery will allow him to live a relatively normal life. He is a lovely boy and enjoys life immensely.

Fun Day 2008 will be held on December 13, 2007 at Deer Creek Animal Hospital from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. This beautiful new facility has an acre of grass in back. It is located at 3024 E. Rose Garden Ln. Phoenix 85050. This is north of the 101 and east of Cave Creek Road about a half mile. It is next door to a school bus repair facility. Please email phxgsrescue@hotmail.com if you have any questions. There will be hot dogs and soft drinks and water for sale. We are hoping to have an agility and grooming demos. Please check back later for more information.

Valley of the Sun Giant Schnauzer Rescue is a group of volunteers who are interested in educating people about giant schnauzers. We take in giant schnauzers who need a forever home. Our dogs are fostered to learn about them, vet checked, microchipped, spayed or neutered if not already, and then we look for new homes for them.
We raise money for our Valley of the Sun Giant Schnauzer Rescue on Ebay. You can go to http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZgiantschnauzerrescue to see what items we have listed to benefit rescue. We have a lot of unique art work that our members and supporters do to help us fund rescue. We also accept Paypal donations using the phxgsrescue@hotmail.com as our email address.
If we don't have a giant in rescue right now, we do work with other rescue groups around the country and will forward your application to the appropriate rescue group.
We are looking for foster homes for giant schnauzers. We need homes that are experienced with large dominant breeds. Several of these dogs do just fine with other dogs and others don't. They don't because they have been kenneled most of their lives and used for breeding purposes. They just need some time and some love and someone to act as alpha with them until they learn the ropes. Adopting a friend
We have an application that needs to be filled out and that can be done at www.vsgiantschnauzerrescue.org We do home checks before adoptions are completed. Please visit our website to fill out an application to adopt a giant schnauzer. Our adoption fees range from $250 to $450. Most of our dogs are placed in the state of Arizona, but we will sometimes under special circumstances adopt elsewhere. If the giant needs to be transported, those costs will be up to the adopter. We do homechecks and will find someone in your area to do the homecheck and also to act as a backup for us in case the adoption should not work out.
