City of Prescott Animal Control Center
Our Featured Pet...
Many of our dogs are featured on the home page of AZ 114, which is the home site for United Animal Friends, a local rescue group with foster home capabilities and who show their animals at local stores. For further information about UAF you can check their site on Petfinders also or call 928-778-2924. We, as an animal control organization, are required to keep stray dogs for a period of time to enable the owner an opportunity to reclaim a dog so not all dogs are immediately available for adoption.
News
Who We Are
The Prescott Animal Control Center is where dogs are impounded by City of Prescott, Yavapai County, and City of Prescott Valley animal control officers. These animals are usually brought in for being at large or being involved in a bite to a human. Should your dog be missing, please call our facility to see if it has been brought in by an animal control officer or possibly a citizen who may have found it. Do not wait an extended period of time to contact us--the sooner the better.
Adopting a friend
The Prescott Animal Control Center does adopt out dogs which it deems to be adoptable, but not all dogs are placed for adoption by the center. There are fees involved in the adoption process and include neutering or spaying as required by law. Feel free to call if you have questions. Telephone (928) 777-1135.
