Our shelter provides a much needed & used service to the community and is home to many homeless animals. We serve the communities of Sonoita, Patagonia, Nogales, Rio Rico, Tubac, Tumacacori, & Carmen.
OUR WISH LIST
Our shelter has many needs. The building we are in is functionally obsolete. Many items needing repair due to age and being out-dated. (Donate your expertise and labor as well as building materials; plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc.) We need $$ for utilities to keep our animals warm. New medical diagnostic tools & machines. New fencing is needed to secure the grounds & make new units for incoming animals. (Donate the materials or labor).

We can always use: donations of cat litter, cat litter pans, cat & kitten food, both dry and canned. Puppy and kitten replacement milk. Old towels, blankets, new dog chew toys and treats. ANYTHING to enrich the lives of our pets while they are here at our shelter.
Cash donations are always gratefully accepted and help keep our doors open, utilities paid, and food & medicine for our animals.
VOLUNTEERS who are able to spend time at the clinic and help socialize our dogs and cats would be wonderful!!! Our annual membership includes a quarterly newsletter to keep you up to date on our programs and success stories! We are always open to new fundraising ideas and volunteers!
NEW PROJECTS Ongoing now through 2009. New outdoor cement slabs throughout our facility. The cement slabs will
provide a healthier environment for all of our dogs. For $175.00 you can
purchase a slab and you in turn will receive a Paw Print Kit to personalize a memorial for a beloved pet or to honor a current member of the family. Once the kit is returned, the plaque will be installed in one of the new cement kennels.

Who We Are
The Santa Cruz Humane Society is dedicated to the welfare and humane treatment of animals. Our mission is to end the need for pet euthanasia in Santa Cruz County by promoting pet population control through our spay/neuter program, community awareness and promote our pet adoption program.
ADOPT A FRIEND
Adoption fees for dogs and puppies are $80.00. This includes vaccinations, spay or neuter, and deworming medication. Adoption fees for cats and kittens are $50. These fees include vaccinations, spay/neuter, and deworming medication. All animals must be spayed or neutered before leaving the premises.
SENIORS, adopt a CAT for FREE ! Adopt a dog for a minimal fee.
PET SPONSORS If you are unable to adopt a pet and would like to help, you can SPONSOR a pet until they get adopted. OR sponsor a specific pet for a specific medical treatment. At times our animals need a surgery or medical treatment that as a shelter, we cannot afford. BUT YOU CAN HELP. You can pay for that specific pet, for their surgery or treatment. ALL your efforts are tax deductible, so it is a WIN WIN situation. You help a life & you get a tax deduction as well.

Nogales is an hour drive south of Tucson. Take I-19 to Grand Ave exit (#8) (Left exit). Continue south down Grand Avenue for 4-5 miles. From Grand Ave turn right onto Highway 82 (Patagonia Hwy). Go over the bridge, and we are on your immediate right. If you pass the Circle K you have gone too far. We are open Monday - Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are closed SUNDAYS. Out Vet Clinic is open every Wednesday for low-cost Spays/Neuters and Vaccines. Please call (520) 287-5654 to make an appointment .
