The mission of the Greene County Humane Society is to:
 Rescue strays and animals living in improper conditions.
 Provide assistance to animals until we can get the proper paper work to seize said animal. 
Educate children and adults to be loving pet owners
Shelter, any animal that does not already have these services provided by their “owner”.
To seize animals that are not being cared for according to state guidelines.
To help pass legislation that will put a bite into animal abuse laws.
To give all the animals at our shelter a chance for a new home.  Nothing adoptable is put to sleep.
To never decline an animal brought to our shelter.  
To understand that we are not taking the animal because of the owner, but because of the animal.
To Love all of God creatures equally and provide needed care to them.
