UCAPS will be hosting a spay/neuter clinic on Dec. 2, 3, and 4th. Arkansans For Animals with Veterinarian JoAnna McManus will be offering low cost surgery for persons needing help. For dogs the cost will be fifty dollars...more if the dogs is over fifty pounds, cats will cost thirty dollars. All animals are required to have proof of having had a rabies vaccination within the past year. If not, the vaccination will be administered for a low cost of eight dollars. Other vaccinations as well as heartworm testing and fel/fiv tests can be done for a fee. Animals must arrive with a carrier if a cat or small dog and on a leash if a medium or large dog. No animal will be allowed to remain if they are ill or have ticks and fleas. Preregistration and Prepayment is required. Feel free to call for more information. Space is limited and filling quickly. Animals will be sent home the same day with special instuctions. We always recommend following your veterinarians adivice regarding your pet.. We offer this service as a host and wish to assist those struggling financially the opportunity to spay or neuter their pet. We also want to ask the community to help UCAPS spay/nueter our shelter animals by sponsoring a shelter cat or dog. Thank you for the support! Due to financial difficulties at this time, we are severely restricted on taking in animals. Please understand that without consistent funding we cannot function and remain open to the public. Please consider a tax deductable donation to UCAPS! Speak to your city council members and encourage them to include us in theri upcoming 2009 budget. We take in over 50 % of our strays from the city of El Dorado. CAT LOVERS: The Cat House is currently experiencing overcrowding and underfunding. They need our support as well....many many cats unable to come to UCAPS have been taken in by Tanya and Jesse. They use money donated and their own funds to spay/neuter, vaccinate and adopt out over 200 animals. They go to the place needing help to pick up the sick, the homeless cats and later they deliver them to their new adoptors...all while working full time jobs and attending college to further their education. I support and appreciate everything they are trying to do.Please help them as well. Contact UCAPS for more infomation on how to help both UCAPS and THE CAT HOUSE>

What is UCAPS?

We are a non-profit organization that strives to help homeless animals find new homes. We vaccinate and deworm all animals entering our shelter and spay/neuter when funds allow. Our shelter is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from 12:00 to 5:00.

Adopting a new friend!

Come by the shelter and fill out the adoption paperwork, shelter workers will help you pick out the animal that meets your needs and best fits your lifestyle. Arkansas law requires that all animals adopted from shelters be spayed/neutered.
