The Good Shepherd Humane Society Animal Shelter is a Nonprofit
Animal Shelter located near Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
We service Carroll County with a shelter for homeless cats and dogs,
puppies and kittens.
The new addition to your family may await you at The Good Shepherd Humane Society.

In order to avoid euthanizing animals and to find them forever homes we are now offering fifty percent off the adoption fees of any animals that have been at our shelter for six months or longer. We are also offering ten percent off adoption fees for senior citizens.

Is open everyday 10:30 - 5 except Wednesday,Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years..
You are invited to the shelter to visit and walk the dogs , or you might choose to sit with the cats in their sunroom. It's quite a calming atmosphere. The cats have their own soothing sound system and miniature waterfall.

WISH LIST: Office supplies; Erase Liquid, Wide box tape, Spray Bottles, Manila Folders, Binders, and Computer Paper. Food Supplies; KMR(kitten milk replacer), Espilac (puppy milk replacer) Science Diet dog, puppy, cat and kitten food. Cleaning Suppies; Bleach, Pine sol, Laundry Detergent, Dryer Sheets, Paper towels, and Trash bags. Outside Equiptment; Rakes, Doghouses, Dog Pens, Hoses, Hose Attatchments, and Dog Poop Scoops. Basic Animal Needs; Bottles and nipples, small animal feeders (tiny bottles) Buckets, Hard plastic dog toys, Rope Dog toys, Cat litter, Cat Toys, Towels, Frontline or Advantage flea/tick treatment for dogs and cats, sheets, Collars, Harnesses, Leashes, Tennis balls. Medical Needs; Gauze Pads, Heat lamps, Window units, Suture removers, cases of water. We have just been approved for Science Diet feeding program and they will be providing the shelter with food for the shelter animals with only the cost of shipping.

A POUND DOG'S LAMENT

I'm not real pretty, and not real small. My coat is rough, my ears stand tall. My tail is long, with a kink at the end. My eyes are still looking for a friend. I hear some steps, they're coming real close. I'll give them my best prize winning pose. Then I hear the words, they have to say. "He isn't very pretty, but, oh how he begs. Bouncing around on his springy legs. Look at the love in his eyes that shine. He's the one I want to call all mine". So away I go, my heart beating fast.
To a home with a friend, and love at last!

Inspired by "Patch", Nr.259 at the Good Shepherd Animal Shelter (since adopted) I called him "Shiner"
