Please email us regarding the dog who interests you. You'll be sent our nonbinding application and when you submit it, one of our Board members will telephone you. You'll also be put in touch with the dog's foster family. Any pets already in your family must be spayed/neutered and their vaccines up-to-date before an application can be approved. All dogs listed for adoption have been "fixed," fully vaccinated, examined and treated as necessary for parasites and/or other health issues. When you adopt, you'll be given all health records for your dog since he/she has been within our care. Delivery via private climate-controlled van is included in our out-of-state adoption fees. There are no hidden charges. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt.
Ozark Homeward Bound is a small private 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue group. We have no paid staff and receive no public funding of any kind. All adoption fees go directly back to the care and maintenance of the many dogs still in our foster homes, and to continue our efforts to spay/neuter and vaccinate each homeless animal who comes to us. 100% of adoption fees and donations goes directly to the welfare of the animals, not to "administrative costs." Donations are also 100% tax deductible, and most gratefully appreciated. If you'd like to help, please mail your donation to: OZARK HOMEWARD BOUND, PO Box 155, Harrison, AR 72602.
We do not operate a shelter. All available dogs are in private volunteer foster homes for evaluation and socialization ~ they are not "warehoused." We need and welcome more dedicated volunteers from Boone, Carroll, Marion and Baxter Counties in Northwest Arkansas. If you're interested, please email us!
