The BVAS has expanded to a whopping 2300 sq ft. Starting out with only approx 780 sq ft - This much needed space will provide additional dog runs, an expanded cat room and isolation area for sick or nursing animals.
The expansion will come just in time for the influx of stray animals seen this year throughout the village ....IT WILL HELP US TO SAVE MORE PETS and ultimately help us to carry out our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and place animals in need.
Donations from the community and local businesses as well a volunteers - enabled us to expand at minimal costs to the shelter. It was like a habitat for humanity project ...only for the animals.
We would like to thank all that have donated as well as participated in making this happen. Without kind-hearted donations there would be no shelter. God Bless You All.

Hi - My name is Chubbs. I was brought to the shelter in 2005 with 25 other beagles because our owner was not taking care of us. I really like it here, they treat me nice, but they tell me it could even be better for me to have a family of my very own. Most of my friends have been adopted except for me and Bongo. We've been waiting a long time and we would love to show a family how much love we can give. I'm good with kids, cats, and other dogs. We are a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue & rehabilitation of the strays in the Bella Vista and surrounding area. Our Mission is to provide food shelter and medical care for the animals in need - until they can be adopted into loving homes.
Our facility like many others operates solely on the kind hearted donations from private parties and the surrounding community.
