GunnDogs is relocating! I need to place my rescue dogs into approved adoptive homes as soon as possible, so adoption fees have been either waived or reduced. ***TRANSPORT IS UP TO THE ADOPTER*** dogs must be picked up from my facility in Little Rock, AR. First come, first served.
PLEASE, be sure to read the entire bio on each dog- the reduced adoption fee is noted next to the dog's name; emails asking questions without an attached application WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. NO PHONE CALLS, please. I am working alone, and am trying to get packed and on the road within 30 days, therefore I have very limited time availalbe to play email or phone tag. Your patiene and understanding is very much appreciated during this move.
A completed application MUST be submitted in order to be contacted about one of my available dogs. Be sure to complete the application in its' entirety; incomplete applications WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. GunnDogs, Inc.
We are a group of volunteers dedicated to the rehoming and rescuing of sporting dogs. We occasionally have other breeds of dogs for adoption, so check back often to find your next best friend.
Adopting a friend
Once you have decided you want to adopt a friend, please email for an application. We will review it and may make some suggestions based on your lifestyle and the personalities of our dogs available. If we don't have a dog currently in our program that fits your lifestyle, contact us--we have a network of shelters and rescues, and even dogs that are on a waiting list to get into our program. We can find your friend for you! Sometimes adoptions happen very quicly if all the pieces fall together right away; sometimes It may take a while, and if you are in a hurry to adopt, GunnDogs, Inc. might not be for you. We like to spend a lot of time evaluating our dogs, working with them to identify and correct potential medical or behavioral problems, crate training, housetraining, socializing, visiting with potential adopters, and doing all that we can to send you a happy, well-adjusted reliable dog for a permanent match.
The most important thing for potential adopters to know is that THE VERY FIRST STEP is to complete an application; we will not be able to talk with you about any of our dogs until we have that in hand. This helps us to have an idea of who you are, what you are looking for in a dog, and allow us to pre-screen by contacting vet references, etc. Our application is not terribly time-consuming to complete, and is an important first step in the adoption process. You may email gunndogs@yahoo.com to request an application, or one is available on our website at gunndogs.webs.com....unfortunately, that website does not get updated very often at all due to lack of time, but the application is there for you to complete if you like. I try to answer email inquiries daily; however, often I do get a bit behind, or my internet service acts up, so if it takes more than two to three days, please send a follow-up email. I am currently doing all of this singlehandedly, and I do get bogged down often.

Come Visit Us!
We do have a home-based rescue facility whre most of our dogs are housed - you are welcome to come and visit and meet the dogs once we have an approved application from you.--email us and we would be happy to make arrangements to meet a dog AFTER you have completed our application. Our application does not obligate you to adopt a dog, but it helps us make a good match. Our dogs are also kept in foster homes across the country--we have transport options available and will do everything in our power to transport a dog to it's forever home.
