Monthly meeting on Thursday, August 7, 2008, 6:00pm, 1110 W B Street, Russellville, AR. Cancelled
We are back on shedule for our adoptions. This coming Saturday, August 30, 2008 we will be at Hastings Book store. We will set up around 9:00am and our adoption will be 10:00am to 2:00pm.
An Adopt-A-Pet will be held Saturday , September 20, 2008, at The Russellville Animal Shelter, 3115 S Mobile, Russellville, AR. The time will be 10:00am to 2:00pm. Adoption fees are $40.00 for dogs and $20.00 for cats. All adult animals will be spayed or neutered at no extra cost.
COMING IN SEPTEMBER "WARRIORS DAY"
Furry Friends In Need will be hosting a Pet Show and Pet Adoption on September 20, 2008. "Warriors Day" is in Memory of Emelaine Cherry (Brightspirit) the young girl that was killed in February by the tornado that went through Atkins.
We are looking for "Warrior Cats", those that will be judged the Best Kit, Best Apprentice, Best Warrior Cat Male & Female, Best Queen and Best Elder. If you think you have a cat that fits into one of these catagories please fill out a form. There will be a winner in each category.
Anyone interested in participating in the Pet Show can go to our web site, www.furryfriendsinneed.org. for an application or to Vintage Books, 602 E. Parkway, Russellville 880-2152 or Arkansas River Valley Arts Center, 1001 E. B Street, Russellville 968-2452.
There will also be a pet show for the Best Mixed Breed, Best Pure Breed, Best Condition, Best Personality, Cat & Dog Erin Would Most Like to Take Home, Best Junior Handler and Best in Show. We are hoping everyone will come out and show off their pets.

We are Furry Friends in Need, a growing group of volunteers in Russellville, AR doing what we can to help the local animals. Our goal is to help animals in the River Valley through prevention, education and adoption.

We are working with Mr. Gerry Laswell with K-9 Hospice in Dardanelle. This is a rescue group for the older, disabled animals. K-9 Hospice is a non-profit group operating from donations. Any information needed about K-9 Hospice contact Mr. Laswell at 479 229-1091.
