We are happy to announce an addition to our name. We are now the Humane Society of the Greater River Valley, Furry Friends In Need. Our address is1508 E Main Street, Suite B, Russellville, Arkansas, 72801. Phone number: 479 967-1911
Our monthly meetings will now be held at our new address, 1508 E Main Street, Suite B, Russellville, Arkansas. The time will remain the same, the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm. We will no longer meet at the Chamber of Commerce building. The next meeting will be July 7, 2009.
Our adoptions have been put on hold for awhile. We have purchased 40 acres of the most beautiful land you would ever want to see. There are several buildings on it that we are remodeling for the future home of our local animals. We will be located outside of Hector Arkansas.
When finished there will be a clinic, birthing houses (one for dogs and one for cats), cat house, Pit house, Hospice house, with an education room, get acquainted room, thirft shop, dog parks (one small and one large) and trails to walk. No animal will be put down. No animal will be on a chain. There will be a sanctuary for those that can not find a forever home.
Anyone wanting to help in this project can call 479 967-1911, 264-1395 or 293-4377 for more information. We are accepting donations of food, building materials, furniture, computer equiptment, office equiptment, washer, dryer, plumbing supplies or just money. Who We Are
We are the Humane Society of the Greater River Valley, Furry Friends in Need, a growing group of volunteers in Russellville, AR doing what we can to help the local animals. Our goal is to help animals in the River Valley through prevention, education and adoption.
We have opened a Thrift Shop at 1508 E Main, Suite B, Russellville. We are in the back of the building with Sprint in the front part. Our hours are 11:00am to 4:00pm six days a week, phone is 479 967-1911. All sales will go toward the new shelter. We are acception donations of thirft shop iteams,dog or cat food, collars, pens, crates, paper towels, bleach.

We are working with Mr. Gerry Laswell with K-9 Hospice in Dardanelle. This is a rescue group for the older, disabled animals. K-9 Hospice is a non-profit group operating from donations. Any information needed about K-9 Hospice contact Mr. Laswell at 479 229-1091.
