Who We Are
Lost Love Animal Rescue operates as a foster care system We are a network of individuals who have opened our homes to foster animals in hope of finding them a permanent home that will match their particular needs and personality.
Our cats and dogs come from shelters where they may have run out of time before finding 'their family'. A percentage of our adoptable animals come from parking lots, highways or other places where previous owners have abandoned them. We never take in cats who have a great chance of getting adopted through traditional shelters.
For all our pets, this is likely their last chance of finding a loving home.
We treat all of our sick or injured pets for everything from ringworm to bite wounds as well as any other health issue we are aware of before sending them home.
Our adoption fees will range from $40 to $60, regardless the veterinary care that was needed prior to adoption. With each adoption the foster family absorbs a large amount of financial costs with their foster cat/dog. The adoption fees help with the needs for each animal rescued (vet care, food, litter, etc.), but each individual associated with Lost Love Animal Resuce will absorb the cost to care for each animal prior to adoption.
Most of our available pets have lived in our homes as members of our families which helped us see how they behave and interact with other furry members.
We care deeply about these precious creatures. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, you will have the chance to speak directly to the family that fostered them. Naturally the family wil be able to give you honest information about their personalities and thereby making the perfect match for all.
Adopting a friend
We truly enjoy caring for the many cats, kittens, dogs and puppies that have found their way to Lost Love Animal Rescue. We believe our time with these wonderful creatures is temporary until we can match them with the right family. We rely heavily on our foster families who have learned the personality of their cats/dogs in order to place them in their ideal forever home.
Once you have decided on a 'friend for life' we will process your application. The application process is simple and normally takes 24 hours to check references, and get your landlord's approval if you are renting. After you appplication has been processed, you will be notified whether or not your adoption application has been approved.
What You Need to Know
If you have young children in your home please only consider animals over four months of age. An animal younger than four months is too young to be vaccinated against rabies. In addition, a young child may not understand how to handle a baby animal safely. The child may be injured if the animal is forced to defend itself.
No animal adopted from Lost Love Animal Rescue may be sold, given away, or abandoned. If the animal is no longer wanted, it must be returned to the shelter.
All animals over the age of 16 weeks adopted from Lost Love Animal Rescue will be spayed or neutered BEFORE going "home". If the animal is under the age of 16 weeks we require the adopted animal have an appointment scheduled to be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age. A follow-up call will be made to the Veternarian.
Each year eight million (8,000,000) unwanted animals die in shelters. Pease help stop the result of overpopulation.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DECLINE ANY APPLICATION. ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED IN HOPES OF PLACING EACH INDIVIDUAL PET WITH THEIR IDEAL FAMILY.
We operate out of private homes relying on our wonderful foster families. We welcome the opportunity to show off our wondeful furry friends, but please call to set an appointment. We will do our best to accomodate your schedule.
