About Us
We have a new doctor, new management and a new location for our adoptions!
As we operate our rescue and adoption program on a purely volunteer basis, sometimes processing applications and finallizing adoptions may take some time, depending on how busy our regular veterinary hospital business is keeping us.
If you are interested in a particular pet, we encourage you to complete an application and submit it as soon as possible. Processing the application takes a minimum of 24-48 hours, so please be patient with us.
We do require that pets in the household be current on vaccines, flea/tick/heartworm preventions and be spayed and neutered. We also may have special requirements for certain adoptable animals.
We do not operate on a first come, first serve basis. We do reserve the right to refuse an adoption for any reason. Our goal is to find the best possible forever homes for each individual pet.
Southwest Pet Hospital was purchased by Dr. Michelle Wendell, formerly of Best Friends Animal Hospital in Fayetteville, AR. We are excited to offer full service veterinary care and continue the animal rescue and adoption programs she had a Best Friends. Check us out if you are looking for a furry new friend or if your current furry family member is in need of veterinary care.
We have an open door policy during normal business hours and you are welcome to come visit our pets for adoption. Pets in foster homes will only be available for visits with a previously scheduled appointment.
We are located in Springdale, just off of 412 between the lights at Johnson Road and West End Street. Going south on Henryetta, we are the second building on the right.
