I will not play tug-of-war with Dad's underwear when he's on
the toilet.
The garbage collector is NOT stealing our stuff.
I do not need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm lying
under the coffee table.
I will not roll my toys behind the fridge.
I must shake the rainwater out of my fur BEFORE entering the
house.
I will not eat the cats' food, before or after they eat it.
I will stop trying to find the few remaining pieces of clean
carpet in the house when I am about to throw up.
I will not throw up in the car.
I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc.
I will not lick my human's face after eating animal poop.
"Kitty box crunchies" are not food.
I will not eat any more socks and then redeposit them in the
backyard after processing.
The diaper pail is not a cookie jar.
I will not wake Mommy up by sticking my cold, wet nose up
her bottom end.
I will not chew my human's toothbrush and not tell them.
I will not chew crayons or pens, especially not the red
ones, or my people will think I am hemorrhaging.
When in the car, I will not insist on having the window
rolled down when it's raining outside.
We do not have a doorbell. I will not bark each time I hear
one on TV.
I will not steal my Mom's underwear and dance all over the
back yard with it.
The sofa is not a face towel. Neither are Mom & Dad's laps.
My head does not belong in the refrigerator.
I will not bite the officer's hand when he reaches in for
Mom's driver's license and car registration.

Who We Are
Ozark Mutts and Stuff is a small rescue in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Our mission is to help the stray, abandoned, lost and neglected dogs and cats from Baxter County, Marion County, and Mountain Home, Arkansas.
We will help families obtain low cost or no cost assistance with spay and neuter of their companion pets. We feel that this will help
alleviate the over population of unwanted litters.
We also want to help people that need to re-home their pet, find that pet a good home. If new homes are not found, some of these people will just dump these animals on the country roads. We want to give the people an alternative to just dumping their unwanted pets. Humane Societies and Rescues are so overcrowded across the country. Maybe by offering assistance in finding the pet a new home and offering to provide food for the animal, they will keep the pet safe until a new home can be found.
Adopting a friend
Is really easy, just click on the picture
for the dog or cat you are interested in just "click" on the application link
that is provided, send us an email, or give us a call. We will be
more then happy to talk to you about your next "Furry Best Friend"
References listed on this application
will be checked & we do require a HOME VISIT PRIOR to any adoption.
Our main goal is to make the best
possible match between the dog and the adopter.
Adoptions are not on a first come first
serve basis.
Please be aware that we do require an
application, veterinary references and do HOME CHECKS BEFORE placing our
dogs
There is a minimum adoption donation
which helps us to offset veterinary costs (YES, THE VETS DO CHARGE US & IT
IS NOT CHEAP!) for the dog you adopt and so that we can continue to help
OTHERS in need.
All of our dogs receive any necessary medical treatment, are up to date
on their shots (based on age) and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption
If the dog or cat needs to be transported to
another state we ask for you to cover the transport fee of
$130.00. We use a reliable licensed transport company.
Please remember, you are not paying for the dog. You are helping to offset some
of the costs associated with spaying and neutering; heartworm testing and
preventative; basic vaccines and parasite control and shelter fees where
applicable. Also, there are many dogs that come to us with problems that have
expensive veterinary bills, i.e. heartworm treatment, broken legs, mange. After
adoption we are always available to assist and advise our adoptive families in
every way we can. If for any reason an adoption does not work out, we want the
animal back.
Sponsor an Ozark Mutts Fur Kid
If you can't adopt but would like to help a dog or cat in
our rescue you can be a sponsor. When you sponsor an animal your donation
will be helping in so many ways. For as little as $5.00 a month you can
help with vet bills, food, cleaning supplies, flea and tick products, HW
tablets. Every little bit helps and we greatly appreciate every penny we
get. If you don't feel comfortable donating directly to us you can always
call our vet Dr. Slone at 870-425-0035 and tell them you would like to donate to
our vet bill and send them a check or put it on your credit card.
If you live locally we could always use volunteers to help walk
dogs or play with them. We can use blankets, towels, kitty litter, dish
soap and bleach.
Come Visit Us!
If you would like to meet one of the dogs or cats please call. Our dogs and cats are in foster homes and we will make arrangements for you to meet.
