Debbie's Every Breed Saved Dog Rescue
OUR FEATURED PET...Let us introduce you to a very special girl:
UPDATE!!!! I have added 2 new pictures to show how Essie has improved. Thanks to all of you who have supported us in the saving of this special dog. We all feel that she had such a will to live and deserved a chance at a happy life in a real home. She is slowly gaining hair, but still has quite a ways to go. The important thing is that she is a very happy girl and is such a clown. She loves to run and play outside, but sleeps on a nice comfy bed with her owner at night. Click on to Essie's page and see her pictures.
Essie's story is a tragic one of what happens to a dog when nobody cares. If it weren't for the efforts of one kind lady, poor Essie would surely have died a slow, agonizing death. Essie's angel (Denise) contacted Best Friends in Utah and they were vigilant in finding help for Essie. Thanks to the efforts of Carol Davis (a Best Friends volunteer) and two wonderful ladies (Jan and Rosemary from Furry Friends in Need) Essie was captured and taken to North Hills Animal Clinic in Sherwood. She has both types of mange and has absolutely no hair on her thin, emaciated body. She was the worst case of any dog (that was still alive) that any of the vets had ever seen. Essie is now safe and sound in a foster home in Jacksonville. She is improving every day, but had to have extensive vet care and when she is well enough, will still have to go through heartworm treatment. If you would like to be a part of Essie's comeback, please click the button below. Your donation will be greatly appreciated.
Who We Are
We are a small group of volunteers dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of neglected/homeless dogs. We make the committment to each dog to resolve any health or behavioral issues and find a home that will best fit his/her needs. We take this committment very seriously. We often take in dogs that would otherwise have no chance at all to survive.
Our dogs are not kept in a shelter; we keep them all in our own homes. We are better able to address any behavior issues and prepare them for the transition into their forever home. We cannot "hold" a dog and that is why it is important to go ahead and fill out an application if you are interested in a particular dog.
How To Adopt
The adoption process begins with filling out the application. This does not obligate you to adopt the dog, but if you are interested in a certain dog, filling out the application will expedite a response from us. E-mail us and we will be glad to forward you an application. Our adoption fee for in state is $125.00. The adoption fee covers any medical treatment the dog has needed, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, 1st Heartworm Preventative and 1st Flea Preventative.
Foster Homes Needed
Foster homes are a very important part of animal rescue. We are limited to the number of dogs we can save, by the number of foster homes we have. Fostering is a most rewarding experience. There is no way to describe the feeling you get when a dog, who has never been treated kindly or lovingly by a human, wags his tail or plays with his first toy. A feeling you get when a dog that once had no hope at all, now is getting to go to his/her forever home and all because you were willing to take them into your home and give them a chance.
To find out more about becoming a foster parent, e-mail Debbie at DAWaddle55@comcast.net or Cindy at email@example.com
All care for the dogs we rescue comes directly out of our pockets, if you would like to make a donation to help us continue saving dogs, you can log on to Paypal and send it to DAWaddle55@comcast.net. Thank you!
