Our hedgehog rescue made the cover story of our local newspaper, the Harrison Daily Times in October 2006 with six photos, four of them being in color and almost a two page write up. Just recently we were contacted by a TV station, KATV out of Little Rock, AR (Channel 7) and they came up and shot footage of our hedgehogs and also did an interview with me. It aired in March on the 10:00 news.
Who We Are
We are a non-profit hedgehog rescue. We take in unwanted hedgehogs regardless of the situation and provide them with rehabilitation, medical care and lots of love. We sometimes drive hundreds of miles to pick these hedgehogs up and this last summer (2006) we were very busy rescuing hedgies in Louisiana, Memphis and here in Arkansas. We accept donations, whether it be bedding, food, five gallon buckets, cash, etc to help fund the rescue. We have been official rescuers through the Hedgehog Welfare Society for over three years and more recently through the International Hedgehog Association.
Adopting a friend
To adopt a hedgehog we do have an application that we require you fill out to show your serious about bringing a new pet into your life. We do not require that you have had a hedgehog before, but we do require that you have done your research and know how to best take care of one. We offer 24/7 support to anyone who has questions about a hedgie or who has adopted one from us.
