Who We Are
The Purr-Fect Sanctuary is a non-profit, no-kill shelter. We are dedicated to helping animals in our care find a new, loving, permenant home. Some of our kitties are "special needs" kitties and will live out their lives here. Others are called "last hope" kitties. These are kitties with medical and emotional problems that other shelters would have euthenanized. Here at our shelter we work one on one with these animals to help them through these issues and, hopefully, then place them in forever homes. Some of these cats will live a long time with us until some caring individual adopts them. We often receive newborns or very young kittens with no mother. These bottle-fed babies make some of the most wonderful pets and companions, so check in often for availability.
We rely on public donations to help keep our Sanctuary running. We also have a "booth" at the local "Collector's Galary" store, located in Russellville, AR, with a product line for pets called, "Comfy Cat Habitat", where all proceeds go to support our animals. There are also donation jars in various stores in and around Russellville, Arkansas and no amount is to small for us to appreciate and we thank you for your help.
Adopting a friend
Purr-fect Sanctuary is dedicated to helping our little charges find just the "purr-fect" forever home. Our shelter is differant in that we actually live here and the animals are in a more "home" type invironment. They have large outdoor kennels with access to large indoor, air-conditioned kennels, as well. Because of this, we come to know each cat/kitten very well and are more able to help match the right person/family with the right kitty or cat. they are looking for. We do require you read and sign our adoption form. We will help you out in any way possible to make adopting your new pet as easy and as stressless as possible for both you and the new kitty. We offer the first month free of Shelter Care Pet Insurance (compliments of Petfinder.com) for your kitten/cat (which is optional). We highly encourage you call to initiate this coverage immediately, as the first 30 days are the most stressfull for your new pet and unexpected accidents and illnesses are common to newly adopted shelter pets. You are then able to continue this coverage for your pet, if you choose to, at a small monthly charge. It's a pretty awesome deal, really.
Come Visit Us!
Because of the unfortunately issue of too many animals being dropped off at shelters, we do not give out directions to our shelter unless someone is interested in adopting one of our animals. We show our adoptable animals by appointment only, so, call or e-mail to set a up a time to come meet the pet you are interested in adopting.
