The purpose of the creation of the Northwest Arkansas Animal Rescue, Inc., is the protection and education of animal needs. We are on the forefront of a region wide spay and neuter program to help reduce the massive overpopulation of animals. If a cat is allowed to re-produce, over the years it can create over 3,000 kittens’ AND YES THAT IS JUST ONE CAT!
Each day hundreds of animals are put down in our city shelters, and many are run over in our streets. Our vets get calls regularly about animals that are unwanted. It is time to stop this cycle and educate and assist in the problem that we have here in Northwest Arkansas.

Attention!!
A male gray & white long haired kitten belonging to Northwest Arkansas Animal Rescue was stolen from PetCo on June 6, 2009 between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Kitten was discovered missing when the new adoptive family came to PetCo to finalize the adoption process. The Kitten's name is Emmett he is about 8 to 10 weeks old. A PetCo clerk noticed a man and woman exiting the store as the man held a kitten fitting Emmett's description. Description of man is approx. 5'6", heavy with short wavy dark hair wearing a dark shirt and tan cargo shorts. Description of the woman is approx. 5’ 6” heavy with long dark hair wearing a red shirt and shorts.

Be a part of our drive to the Mobile Unit!!!!
Northwest Arkansas Animal Rescue is in the middle of our major donation drive for the year! We will be purchasing a mobile spay and neuter unit which will GREATLY assist in the over population of the cats and dogs in this area. This unit's total cost will be $160,000 which does not include the supplies that will be necessary to operate. This unit will be ONE OF A KIND for this area!
We would feel honored if you would assist us in a donation. We are also accepting corporate sponsorships and all who participate will be "thanked" on our website.
Please know that currently Northwest Arkansas Animal Rescue is at its capacity and can not accept any additional owner turn in.

We assist the local shelters along with government organization and private in the adoption of unwanted cats and dogs.
NWAAR operates this site to assist you in finding wonderful pets. We try to provide as much information on the animal and invite you to email or call us if any of the wonderful "fuzzy" friends touch your heart. We are also out in the community with our adoption days....

Adopting a friend
NWAAR requires on all adoptions a reference check which will include calling the vet of your choosing. A small adoption fee will also be required and the amount will be notated on each animal on this site.
