Volunteers for our special events
Volunteers to return phone calls regarding stray, injured, and other animal situations
Please complete an involvement application. The methods of returning the application are listed on the bottom of the application. Please email hsfc@conwaycorp.net with questions.
Work with Animals!
Foster Home for Animals - The Foster Program is vital to the success of animals finding permanent homes. The foster families provide warm loving homes for animals until permanent homes can be found. Foster families must meet certain requirements.
Foster Caseworker - Caseworkers manage a group of foster families. They coordinate vet appointments and do on-site assessments and follow-ups.
Pet Adoption Days - Every Saturday at Pet Country and at PetSmart, the HSFC holds Pet Adoption Day. Volunteers are always needed to assist foster families with handling their animals.
Who We Are
The Humane Society of Faulkner County's mission is to help people help animals through education, spay-neuter programs, abuse-neglect investigations, and provide shelter for abandoned animals where they will be evaluated, treated, and placed into appropriate homes.
The Humane Society of Faulkner County’s office is located at 2221 Washington Avenue in Conway, Arkansas.
HSFC has no shelter. Recently, USDA conducted a study to determine the operational needs and costs of building and operating a shelter, and we determined that adequate resources were not available to sustain the operational costs of a shelter at that time. All rescued animals are kept in the homes of foster families where the animals receive routine medical care to include veterinarian assessment, vaccinations, and spay/neuter. While living with foster families, the animals are assessed and socialized as appropriate – this may include house training, determining compatibility with children and/or other animals, and identifying any special needs.
Adopting a friend
Those who wish to adopt a pet must fill out an application. Represenitives will contact you about the conditions the animal would be going to (how much time you would be able to give the animal, if you have a safe place outside etc.)
