The Humane Society of Faulkner County's mission is to help people help animals through education, spay-neuter programs and provide foster homes ( when openings are available) for stray animals where they will be evaluated, treated, and placed into forever homes.
HSFC has no shelter. All rescued animals are kept in the homes of volunteer foster families where the animals receive routine medical care to include veterinarian assessment, vaccinations, and spay/neuter. While living with foster families, the animals are assessed and socialized as appropriate – this may include house training, determining compatibility with children and/or other animals, and identifying any special needs.
Adopting a friend
Those who wish to adopt are encouraged to fill out an application. Our application asks a series of questions which help us determine if dog and family would make a good match. Application approval is also based heavily on a solid vet reference.
