The City of Ward Animal Control is the animal care and control shelter for the city of Ward. We provide Community Animal Protection, Care and Control, Pet Lost and Found, Pet Registration and Pet Adoption Services.
Our Mission
The MISSION of the City of Ward Animal Services is to become the premier provider of municipal animal care and control services. We are dedicated to building long term relationships with our customers through education and fair enforcement practices.
Come Visit Us!
Even though we are not able to be on site always during business hours; we want to be available during business hours. Our Animal Control Officer always has time to meet with you and show you the pets we have available. Stop by the office at the City Hall or call 843-7686.
Animals are shown Monday - Friday 9:00 - 3:00 or by special appointment.

The WFOS is a new organizing non profit group that is forming to help with the programs and services the City of Ward has begun. The group will also be able to offer the citizens of Ward services that the city might not be able to financially offer. By forming an positive alliance with the Ward Animal Control we believe we will see changes that will benefit the city. This has been done and proven effective in other Arkansas cities. It has been proven that when citizens get involved, when they are willing to share thier talents and gifts, when they come together to make a difference, a difference takes place. We believe it will be no different in Ward.
The Ward Friends of the Shelter meet monthly on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. Meetings take place at the Ward City Annex unless annouced otherwise.
