Dan and Jessica Garrison are independent rescuers in Arkadelphia, Arkansas who strive to improve the quality of life for the animals in Arkansas. New Leash on Life is a no-kill, independent shelter and our goal is to promote animal welfare such as abuse prevention, responsible animal care, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Our mission is to find loving, caring, forever homes for our rescue dogs who so desperately deserve a second chance at happiness. Aside from monetary donations, we are always in need of the following services and/or items: Volunteers to brush, play with dogs, walk dogs, clean pens, someone who is familiar with html web design, dog food, dog toys, Petco/Walmart/Petsmart gift certificates, dog houses (all sizes), Frontline (all sizes), Heartguard (all sizes).Adopting a friend
Our adoption process begins with finding an animal who touches your heart, then making sure the animal is compatible with your lifestyle and home. We want our dogs to find loving, forever homes. We reserve the right to deny any adoption if we do not feel that it is a good match. We request that you first complete an adoption application. We require a home visit and references from your vet. If approved, you will be required to complete an adoption contract. Yes, the adoption process may be time-consuming, but it's well worth it in the end: you adopt a pet that's right for you, and the pet gets a loving, permanent home. Our adoption fee is $75.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, up-to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative prior to adoption.Come Visit Us!
We welcome visitors. However, since it is located at our private home, we do ask that you set up an appointment first.
