Hi! My name is JAMIE!
Jamie is an energetic little pug mix from the Conway Animal Shelter. She loves to play, and gets along well with other dogs. We are unsure about cats just yet. Jamie has been spayed, microchipped, and had her yearly shots. Jamie loves getting and giving attention. She is ready for a new home, are you the one for her?

Central Arkansas Rescue Effort for Animals has assisted in the rescue of over 2,100 animals. We have fully funded or subsidized 6,500 spay/neuters so far. We hold our Spay/Neuter clinics for low income families once a month. Check our website for more details. Who We Are
Our purpose is to conduct animal rescue by providing medical care and placing animals facing impending euthanasia into foster and permanent homes; to increase awareness for the need to spay/neuter all pets; establish Arkansas' first mobile spay/neuter clinic; and to work with and advise animal shelters in central Arkansas on animal welfare issues.
Adopting a Friend
You can submit an adoption application on-line by visiting our website at www.careforanimals.org. Please specify the dog or cat you wish to adopt. We do charge an adoption fee which allows us to help another animal. All of our dogs and cats are tested for heartworms (dogs) and FIV/Feleuk (cats), given their shots and spayed or neutered.
Volunteering and Donations
We are not a shelter and use only foster homes. Foster homes are a vital part of CARE's rescue effort. Without the support of foster homes, we can't take animals out of the shelter. Please consider becoming a foster parent. If you are interested, please fill out the foster family application located on our website. Fostering and knowing that you saved a dog or cat from certain death is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. Too many animals are euthanized each week and we want to give those adoptable pets a chance. We also need volunteers to show animals at our CARE Headquarters at 5516 Kavanaugh every Saturday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. We try to show at least 4 dogs. There are numerous volunteer opportunities so please contact us if you are interested. And if you don't have the time to volunteer - donations are always welcome!
