Who We Are
Heart of Dixie Dane Rescue was founded in 2001 in an effort to rehab and re-home the many Gentle Giants that are no longer wanted. It is our goal here to re-train those that need to learn basic obedience, housetraining, and crate training. We also bring all Danes up to date on shots, have them spayed or neutered, Heartworm tested and given preventative, and treat them for any other medical ailments they may have and then find them FOREVER homes.We are currently not a Federal non-profit agency, however, we are most definately a not-for-profit group. All food, crates, leashes, collars, treats, toys, beds, blankets, flea treatments, Heartworm preventatives, and all medical costs, no matter how costly, comes out of our own personal earnings. Adoption fees rarely even cover the cost of rehabing a Dane and most times we are sadly far "in the hole". With that said, Heart of Dixie Dane Rescue is always happy to accept donations of any type.
