It is our goal to find a permanent, lifelong home for our animals, which means we have a very strict adoption process that we adhere to without exception.
We get many inquiries asking that we call or contact a potential adopter about an available pet. Because we are volunteers with jobs, families, personal dogs and foster dogs, we cannot call you or arrange a meeting until you have submitted an application. The application does not obligate you in any way whatsoever; it gives the foster parent something to go on in determining whether we (and you) need to go any further in the adoption process. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
Madison Small Paws is dedicated to rescuing and caring for small toy breed dogs (20 pounds and under) who are from shelters, puppy mills, found as strays, or are no longer wanted by their owners. We are committed to finding the best home possible for each of our small dogs. All dogs are spayed or neutered, given vaccinations, heartworm tested, and started on flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to adoption. Our main office is in Madison, Alabama. However, we have foster homes throughout the state of Alabama. New volunteers are welcomed from any state. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please let us know.
