About Us
Adopting A Friend
To adopt one of our furbabies, you must first complete an application and provide references. A satisfactory home visit is also required. An adoption contract must also be read and signed before you can take your new pet home. While this may seem like a lot of work, please understand rescue pets have been dumped and some abused. We are working to ensure that never happens to them again. There is a $95.00 adoption fee. Your new pet will be UTD on shots, spayed/neutered, and started on HW preventive.
Who We Are
Southern Based Animal Rescue Kinship, SouthBARK, is a non-profit organization based in Southwestern Alabama. Our main focus is moving deathrow dogs and cats from high kill shelters in Alabama to no-kill shelter and rescue groups throughout the country. We are now beginning to adopt out dogs and cats directly. Transport is not a problem for us and our many contacts make out-of-state home visits easy. Out-of-state adoptions are welcome!

We are a foster based rescue with a network of volunteers trying to offer a second chance dogs on Death Row at a high kill shelter in Mobile AL. Please consider offering one of our awesome pups a new life!
