We are a new Basset Hound Rescue serving Alabama. We started caring for homeless Basset Hounds in 2006. Our President and Vice President, veterans of Basset rescue, founded Heart of Dixie Basset Hound Rescue of Alabama (HDBR) and welcome you to our new site. Heart of Dixie Basset Hound Rescue of Alabama,. exists for the unwanted Basset Hound. Our Volunteer staffed organization is dedicated to finding loving, forever homes for abused, abandoned and neglected purebred bassets. We will use care, respect, education and love for the breed as the cornerstones for promoting responsible Basset Hound ownership.
