We are now up and running on our current pet list. Sorry for the delay but the main thing is we are here now!

We are now in the process of filing for a grant for a new facility. Being as we do not know how that will turn out we are going to have some fundraising events in the near future. Any donations to the shelter are tax deductible.

Please help us help them!

IT IS THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN. TIME TO SPAY OR NEUTER THAT IS.
More adoptable pets are having to be euthanized this time of year due to unnecessary breeding, or just downright carelessness of pet owners.
This is a sad reality but one that we can all help with. It starts with YOU!!!!

Adopting A Friend

Our adoption process is really simple in nature but at the same time we make all conscious effort to match you with the best pet available at our facility. We will ask questions to try and find a perfect fit and some paperwork is required. Our fee's are really low as it is only $30. With that said every animal adopted will have to be spayed or neutered upon adoption and we can help with that cost. We do not want cost to be a reason you do not adopt a pet however you have to be a responsible pet owner and that means doing what is best for the animal.

Who We Are

At the Andalusia Animal Shelter we strive to find all of our pets a forever perfect home. However we take in so many fractious, unhealthy and behaviorally challenged pets that we just can't place. We do everything in our powers to rehabilitate and make healthy the ones that we can and have been successful alot of times.

Most shelters are viewed as cruel and inhumane places that just kill to kill. This is ABSURD and down right crazy thinking. Now I can't speak for ALL facilities but at ours we do a great job, not to be egotistical or anything. But our staff take great pride in the jobs that we do. We socialize ALL animals that are "safe" they get to run in a HUGE fenced in area and are fed and watered adequately. We want people to view animal shelters as the go to place for a new family member.

So please, please, please go into a shelter or rescue and adopt. Don't help the breeders by giving them money to keep running poor inadequate breeder boxes as I call them. Instead save a life and do your's some good as well. After all pets have been shown to be very therapeutic for the health and soul. So come out today and see what all your missing!!!
