We have got alot of things going on this time of year. We are going to be having a "Home for the Holidays" pet adoption day coming up real soon. So stay tuned for more information on that. And in Jan. we hope to have a booth set up at the Kiwanis fair grounds during a hosted event. Our shelter in conjunction with Phi Theta Kappa honor society will be there if all goes as planned to hand out some material about our facility, goals we hope to achieve as well as some pictures of the adoptable pets we have. We will be taking donations for different things for our facility such as pet bedding, paint etc. For more information or even ideas please give us a call.
We are a city run facility. We strive to help the unwanted animals in our county find a home. We do have a volunteer program for anyone over the age of 16 and we find that it is a great way for kids to learn how to socialize, read certain behaviors and just general careing of them. We try to get into the public as much as possible by having adoption days and getting into the schools as much as possible.
We have recently joined in a partnership with the Phi Thetta Kappa honor society and as of now has been a wonderful expeirence. They help with our adoption days, community awareness projects as well as volunteering their time at our shelter. We greatly appreciate the time and effort they put in to our organization.

At our shelter we have a $20 adoption fee. We have some assistance with the spaying and neutering available. Most all of the puppies are vaccinated and wormed on arrival. We are trying to make as much of a difference as possible on how people view shelters as well as the animals in them. Every year there are soooooo many animals euthanized due to over population that we must try and get as many dogs and cats fixed to fix the problem with over population. So please join with your local animal shelters and we CAN make a difference one dog or cat at a time.
