Who We Are
We are a volunteer staffed, local affiliate of the national Malamute rescue organization, Alaskan Malamute Assistance League or AMAL, we serve the primary function of facilitating rescue and re-homing Malamutes in Alabama.
Adopting a friend
To begin the adoption process, please visit our website Deep South Alaskan Malamute Rescue and fill out the online adoption application.
Please note, we prefer to adopt only to people Alabama or Georgia due to the logisitics involved in performing a pre-adoption home check from the Birmingham and Seale, AL areas, arranging meetings between you and the dog to see if this is a good match, follow-up visits to insure the ongoing success of the adoption. It is almost impossible to successfully conduct this process when the prospective adopter lives out these areas. All adopters must come to the dog's location to meet the dog.
