When There's a Will, There's a Way is a rescue that is based on foster homes. Right now, we are a very small group of individuals with a shared love for animals. All the expenses are out of our pocket right now. We do not have non-profit status, but hope to achieve that one day.
Adopting a friend
We are a very new rescue and we are still getting information together. There will be no totally set adoption fee for any pet. If a pet is already altered when it comes to us, it's adoption fee will be less than if we had to pay for the procedure. For the most part, the adoption fee will be what is asked of the foster home, usually only to cover the medical expenses incurred from the animal. We do not receive any profit from our adoption fees. Right now, we are a group of foster homes, so we ask that you e-mail us about a pet rather than calling because the email that is listed is the e-mail of the foster home and the foster home will be able to give the needed information. Thanks so much!
Policies and Procedures
All animals adopted from When There's a Will There's a Way rescue are altered Before placement if they are of age and size. If they are unable to be altered at the time of placement, the adoptive home will receive a promissary note agreeing to have the animal altered at a desginated time. There are NO exceptions to this. We want to do our part in controlling the pet overpopulation crisis and expect the same from our adoptive homes. All animals adopted from us are up to date on vaccinations and deworming. While we cannot guarentee the health of the adopted pet, we will not knowingly adopt out an obviously unhealthy animal. If for some reason, you are unable to keep your pet, we request to be notified. We want the very best for our animals and would rather have them returned to us that left at a shelter or given away to someone who may not properly care for them. We will not adopt to someone under the age of 18 or to someone with previous counts of animal cruelty, neglect, etc. We will not adopt an animal as a food product or to be a part of any kind of ritual practice. If we find an adoptive home to become unsuitable, we reserve the right to remove the animal from that home. We only want the best for our animals and we expect the same from you.
If ou see a pet you are interested in, please take time and read over our Adoption Agreement and then fill out a Preadopt form. Please copy and paste the form along with your answers in a new e-mail form. Subject line as pets' name and/or ID number and e-mail to Email:

A Little about us
When There's a Will There's a Way was named for "Waylon" and "Willy" two Pit Bull mixes that were my first "long time" fosters. When I worked at a traditional shelter, they came in around the same time, but from different areas. They both had demodectic mange, a non contagious immune-compromised disease. I had agreed to foster them until they were better and then place them. Waylon's condition was very bad. He had generalized demodex, which covers the entire body. The then director of the shelter did not like Pitbulls and she wanted to put them to sleep mainly because that was the breed. I was a bit late in taking Waylon home, so she told me he was going to be euthanized. I wouldn't let that happen, so I held on to him. Luckily that woman is no longer director of that shelter. Long story short, Waylon and Willy were both adopted, but returned to me for no fault of their own. They were meant to be my dogs. They are ambassidors of the breed, and are loving and playful with everyone they meet, be human or canine.

Donations
While we do not yet have a non-profit status, we can assure you, we make no profit on what we do. In fact, we actually spend more on the animals than we ask in the adoption fee. While monetary donations are appreciated, what we really ask for is gift certificates to pet stores such as PetSmart, PetCo, or Pet Supplies "Plus", The Home Depot, Lowes, or even Wal-Mart or Target. You can be assured that any donation you make will be used to help the animals.
You can also help us out by shopping at our Cafe Press Shops Thank you!
Rest in peace, dear Stewart...
Stewart
Stewart was a stray that was hit by a car. Someone had owned him in the past, as he wore two collars, but apparently they didn't care enough about him to look for him. Stewart's left front leg was so badly damaged, it required amputation. Stewart didn't wake up from his surgery.
Your short life touched many people. You will not be forgotten, we love you.
