Who We Are

The Greenville Animal Shelter is primarily funded through the City of Greenville. We take in animals from the city and county that have been abandoned, strayed from home, and frequently abused animals. We provide them with the necessary care needed until we can find them new homes, or their owners come and claim them.

Adopting a friend

Someone wishing to adopt a new pet should visit the shelter between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm Monday thru Friday. With each adoption the animal receives their first shot, deworming, and a free vet check-up within two days of the adoption. A spay/neuter certificate must be purchased at the same time for $40.00 from the Butler County Humane Society. Adoption fees vary on Humane Society animals up for adoption.
