There are many people that are saddened by the overwhelming population of homeless and unwanted pets in our community. Many of you have made a big difference in the lives of one of these dogs or cats by adopting them. Many others are not able to adopt, or already have your house full. The good news is ... YOU CAN STILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE. A donation of any amount makes a difference. No donation is too small. Kayleigh's Haven depends on donations from caring individuals like you in order to provide the care, medical attention, and spay/neuters for the animals that come our way. Our adoption fee just does not stretch that far. It costs a lot of money to provide the much needed care these homeless pets need. Kayleigh's Haven is a grassroots 501(c)3 non-profit organization created in 2003. We consist of a group of dedicated individuals working to improve the lives of Jackson County's dogs and cats. We take in dogs and cats when we have room, give them veterinary care, and then find them loving, responsible homes. Our philosophy is that there is a pet for every good owner, and we aim to find partnerships that work for both the animals and the people who wish to adopt them. Please spay and neuter your pets!
Our adoption fee varies from $120 to $200 for dogs and $85-$100 for cats, except in cases where additional medical expenses have been incurred. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, de-wormed, and receive flea/heartworm prevention. All cats are feline leukemia/FIV tested, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped (varies), and receive flea prevention.
We have an application for those who are interested in adopting one of our furry friends. If multiple applications are submitted, we will colaborate and choose the best suited home for the cat/dog's needs.
We try to check our email daily, so please be patient with replies. We always try to be prompt!
Once approved we have a contract, and it stipulates that adopters must take their pets to the vet at least annually, keep them on flea/heartworm preventative year round, and not allow them to roam free or live on a chain.
We love receiving follow up emails and pictures of our critters once they are in their "furever" homes :)
If you are interested in one of our adoptable pets, send us an email to email@example.com or call us at 256-574-5278
We can't wait to hear from you and to help you find a forever friend!

Please email or call for information on our animals available for adoption. Some of our adoptable animals are located at the clinic we operate out of, however we do have a few foster homes. So remember to call and check to arrange a time to see one of our adoptable critters!
