Important News! April 14 2012. It is with a heavy heart and sadness that I must report that I will be getting out of the rescue arena. I am now over 70 yrs old and my health and strength has deteriorated recently and I find I can no longer provide the level of care my precious babies deserve. We are in need of Foster Homes for the remaining dogs I have left. Even if you can only foster or adopt just one small breed dog, that is saving one homeless dog from having to be put to sleep. Little Dogs Rescue/Adoption is a very small, (one person), non- profit all breed rescue in Daleville, Alabama.. I specialize in small breed dogs only. (Pekes, Shit-zu's, Lhasas, Poodles etc. and mixes thereof.) My mission is to help needy animals, whether they are abandoned, orphaned, turned in by their owners, or pulled from a shelter. Animals that go through my rescue are spay/neutered, brought up to date on their vaccinations, checked for heart worms and parasites, and leave to go to their new homes after my vet tells me they are in good health again. I take care of the animals mostly adoption fees and my small SS check. Any and all donations are welcome, to care for their needs.
To adopt or Foster from Little Dogs Rescue/Adoption, Inc, First call me at at 334 598-xxxx. DO NOT email questions. The phone is much more efficient and quicker than email. (My hubby only runs the website/email and not the kennels so he can't answer your questions about the dogs anyway). Then after we talk; the application and agreement forms will be sent to you via email after speaking to me about the dog you would like to adopt. I will need a vet reference and personal references, and I usually will have a home visit done when it can be arranged. I have invested lots of time in the animals I adopt, making sure they are healthy and up to date before they leave me. An adoption fee will be required to help cover costs that are accumulated on each animal. I am funded totally by myself and donations. All of each adoption fee is used for the animals.
