Who We Are:
Truly the Gentle Giant Rescue is a non-profit organazation of dedicated volenteers that work at placing unwanted, neglected or relinquished Mastiffs, Great Danes, Newfoundlands, St. Bernards, and other giant breeds, and giant mixed breeds, into new loving homes. We give them the second chance that these wonderful "gentle giants" deserve.
Most of our dogs come from the animal shelters and often come from homes that can no longer care for them due to personal hardship.
We accept English Mastiffs, Neopolitan Mastiffs, Bullmastiffs, Cane Corso, Dogue De Bordeaux, Tibetan Mastiff, Great Danes, St. Bernards, Great Pyrenees, Bernese Mountain Dog, Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Newfoundlands, Anatolian Shepherd, German Shepherd, and other "gentle giants" for placement. Not all of our dogs are giant breeds, but are gentle and have "giant" hearts and lots of love to give. Our dogs are fostered in our volunteers homes until placed.
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption, vaccines updated, and are wormed. Dogs that are older than 5 years of age also have additional tests done like hips x-rayed and blood work prior to placment to make sure that they are healthy. ~WE MATCH PETS TO PEOPLE NOT PEOPLE TO PETS~

WANT TO HELP???So many dogs, so few homes......We often have to turn away perfectly adoptable dogs due to not having more foster homes. If you are interested in fostering a dog(s) please let us know. Do not hesitate to foster if you live outside of the Fairbanks area. We also except donations for dogs in need, including but not limited to, dog food, bedding, treats, etc. You can mail checks to PO Box 81982, Fairbanks AK, 99708.
