Who We Are
Please check our Municipal page at www.muni.org and follow the Animal Control link for updated pictures and info. The Municipal page has updated pictures about every 2-3 days taken by volunteers at the center.
Adopting a friend
The large majority of our adoptions are dogs and cats, but there are times when we have small pets like gerbils, ferrets, birds, reptiles and even farm animals available also.
We are not able to process adoptions for out-of -state, and we are unable to ship animals out of the city.
All cats and dogs adopted from us are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Come Visit Us!
The Anchorage Animal Care & Control Center is located at 4711 Bragaw Street, right next to the Anchorage Police Department. Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, and Saturday - Sunday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. We are closed holidays.
