We are currently in urgent need of foster homes for cats! If you are thinking of adopting, or would like to enjoy a feline companion but are not yet ready for a 15-20 year commitment, please consider accepting a cat into your home on a temporary basis! Fostering can be a very rewarding experience, and you are helping to save lives! Contact us for more information!
We are also accepting donations for our furry companions! Blankets/towels, food (canned and dry), toys, collars and leashes, food dishes, dish soap, laundry detergent, litter boxes, and plastic totes are our most needed items! Donations may be dropped off at our office during regular business hours. Thank you!
Who We Are
We represent the community of Taber for animal care and control. Dogs are housed at our shelter, whereas cats are kept in foster homes. We operate on a no-kill basis and any pets we are unable to adopt out ourselves go to other no-kill rescues. We are actively trying to raise the value of animals in our community and promote responsible, lifetime pet guardianship.
Adopting a friend

If you would like to meet one of our animals, contact us and we will gladly set up an appointment! The adoption fee for Dogs & Cats includes vaccinations, deworming and spay/neuter.
There is an adoption questionnaire & contract to be signed before adoption.
To help stop the overpopulation of unwanted animals, we do strongly encourage spaying & neutering your pets.
All dogs and cats must be licensed at the time of adoption. This applies to Town of Taber residents only!

Our dogs and cats love to sleep on Kuranda beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog or cat to sleep in comfort, please donate a Kuranda bed.
