I was found roaming the garbage dump, homeless like so many of my cousins. I was very skinny with heaps of my fur missing and “oh boy” did I ever itch. I couldn’t wait to hop in that van and go for a ride. Yep, “Scotty, beam me out of here”. Now I love nothing more than lying on the couch with my head nuzzled under foster dads arm. I currently live in a home with a variety of other dogs and prefer playing with the lady dogs.

YIPPEE - My fur has grown in! I finally look like a dog again! Now that I look the part, and act the part I thinks its time I find myself a good home. Not to say my foster dad hasn't taken great care of me, but I feel that it is time to find a home to call my own. I am looking for an active home as I LOVE going on walks. Preferably a home that will appreciate my big hugs, constant loyalty and of course my big beautiful eyes! PSST..I best go to home that is cat free.

Pound rescue in conjunction with other local animal rescue organizations are raising funds to do a mass spay/neuter on a local reservations. Hundreds of dogs are left as stray and must fend for themselves. Many dogs and cats die during the harsh winter and summer weather due too lack on food,shelter and water. Pound rescue wants to help eliminate any new litters so that fewer dogs are faced with such a horrible fate. All donations are tax deductible and will help save many animals.
Who We Are
Pound rescue is a no kill organization. We are not breed specific and admit animals according to space and urgency.
...we reunite lost animals with their guardians,. We also offer help to people in the community who are temporarily unable to care for their dogs or cats.
....we actively promote spay/neutering together with identification procedures to reduce pet over-population, which we view as the main reason for abandonment and abuse.
....we are a registered charity that is run and maintained by volunteers. There are no paid positions. All money raised goes directly to helping animals that come to the shelter.
Fostering a friend
We are desperately trying to find good foster homes that would be able to help us home dogs and cats between adoptions. All dogs will be up to date on Vaccines, sterilized and supplied with all accessories. Please call us to find out more.
