Klondike is a beautiful young Border Collie / Akita X. On the way the NWT some ladies found him and his brother on the side of the road so they brought them in. He's a good boy, that gets along very well with others. Oh ya and he's usually grrrreat on a leash.

Who We Are
Prairie Animal Rescue Society is a newly formed humane shelter that operates out of High Prairie, Alberta, but is helping pets find homes all throughout the Peace Country. We are a no-kill shelter. An animal will never be put down because it has been with us for too long or because we need to create more room. We are 100% volunteer run. All pets are cared for in loving foster homes, eliminating high overhead involved in running a building with utility and staffing costs.
Adopting a friend
Please call us or check out our adoptable pets online. If you are interested in meeting any of our furry fellas, we can make arrangements with you. We will also try our best to match you with apet that is the most suitable to your needs. THings we will consider is your family dynamic, where you live, (are you close to a major highway, etc.) and the personality of the pet. The adoption fee for a dog is $150 and for a cat it is $126. This covers the spay/neuter, first shots, deworming, microchip, and any other medical the pet has needed to make it adoptable.
