WHO WE ARE.......
We are a local "no-kill" rescue society, with the belief that ALL animals deserve a happy and healthy life. This is why we are strongly committed to all of the animals that come into our care. We specialize in older or handicapped animals that are otherwise deemed unadoptable, however we NEVER restrict our animals to this criteria. We rescue these animals whether they are old, young, healthy or have special needs. In times when we are unable to accommodate everyone we try our very best to help in other ways. We are strictly funded by our adoption fees, donations, and various fund raisers, and we operate solely by a committed volunteer force. We are always looking for more great people to help us though! When you adopt a rescue animal you are helping to save a life and give a second chance to a deserving animal. All we ask is that you truly think about the responsibilities involved in owning a pet, and make a decision that not only benefits you and your lifestyle, but that pet as well. This is a big commitment and we at SOS Pet Rescue are committed to ensuring our animals are given the BEST second chance possible! The animals that come into our care are always carefully assessed before going to their new homes. They are checked by our vets, vaccinated, altered if necessary, and any medical issues which require attention are always addressed immediately! We strive to ensure that all of them are not only as happy as possible, but healthy as possible too! An adoption application must be completed and a home evaluation done by SOS prior to any adoption of our animals. Please contact us for an application and/or viewing of animal. Because we do not have a public shelter, all of our adoptable friends are placed in private foster homes until they are successfully adopted. So, if you have found the one that captures your heart, please give us a call to set up your personal visit! Please note, that while we try to answer all emails as quickly as possible, it is usually faster to call us immediately if you are serious about adopting an animal you see.SOS PET RESCUE

WE HAVE A WIDE VARIETY OF THINGS TO DO! EVERYTHING FROM FOSTER HOMES TO DOG WALKERS ARE NEEDED ALL THE TIME. IF YOU HAVE EVEN JUST ONE HOUR TO SPARE A WEEK, PLEASE CONTACT US TODAY FOR A VOLUNTEER APPLICATION. NO JOB IS TOO BIG OR SMALL.
