We received a very special donation - in honour of our dear friend Megan Brown's birthday ... and in loving memory of her Nicki, Springer Spaniel Extraordinaire who journeyed to the Rainbow Bridge in 2005 ... donation was made by Megan's mom.
We need supplements! We have several dogs who take significant amounts of glucosamine, chondroitin, Celadrin, MSM and shark cartilage on a twice daily basis. If you can spare a bottle or two we would be most grateful.
Monetary donations are always welcome, and greatly appreciated, to assist with the significant veterinary expenses that we incur. Our mailing address can be found at the bottom of this page. Thank you!
Who We Are
Senior Canine Rescue Society is a non-profit organization providing a voice for those special members of the pet population who cannot speak for themselves. Since 1997, we have been dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of senior and special needs dogs. - age and health condition does not matter. We are inspired by the zest for life shown by older dogs thrown away in the twilight of their lives, and it is our mission to do what we can to ensure their safe and happy retirement.

Adopting a friend
All of our dogs are fully vetted before placement; that includes spaying or neutering, full vaccinations including rabies, heartworm test if required, dental if required (including extractions), lumpectomy if required, and microchip. While we love to place our special pets in new homes, we take our time with the adoption process - if you are interested in one of our rescues, please note that the adoption screening process will, in all likelihood, take at least a couple of weeks. Please note that we require an approved Adoption Application to be in place prior to showing our dogs.
Please note that we reserve the right to refuse an adoption, and reserve the right to keep the reasons for the refusal confidential within the organization.
How You Can Help
We are always pleased to accept donations of dog food, blankets, towels, etc. In addition, we are happy to pick up those pop bottles you never have time to redeem - they are of great help to us! (Thanks, Angie, for always remembering us!!!)
