Special Family...
CAMEO, LOCKET & VELVET....
Cameo and her kids Locket and Velvet have a sad story. Originally they lived with a person who had too many pets and could not care for them all. Cameo, and her then tiny babies, came to One by One. This was in March 2007. The sisters, being young and sweet, were adopted imediately, leaving mom in fostercare. But they wore out their welcome in their new home a year and a half later and were returned. WHY?? you ask. Because they did not like the NEW pet dog that invaded their home. So August 2008 they were reunited with mom in fostercare. They were confused and scared and Mom, (as most cat moms) didn't remember them. But in time they adjusted and began to be a real family again.
All three girls have waited way too long for their own REAL home, with people who will love them for who they are. CAMEO loves to be pet and will sit in your lap, but cannot be picked up and held. LOCKET is shy at first but has a truly sweet and endearing personality once she gets to know you. VELVET is more out-going and independant, but can be very sweet, too.
The girls know that there are hundreds of other cats awaiting families, just like them, and many of them are more "perfect" than they are, but they have hope that one day, someone will see them for who they are.....needy, WONDERFUL, companions and friends.

One by One has many special needs cats and older cats who are desperate for homes. We are offering some of these wonderful cats at a very reduced adoption fee in an effort to get them into the wonderful homes they deserve. We know there is a person for each one of these special kitties, we have just not found that person yet. IF you have a heart that is touched by the cat who is passed over, the one not so young anymore, the one with a limp, or one who is a bit shy, or needs special food. IF you can provide a loving home please let us know. We can be very flexable on our adoption fees for these precious special kitties! Some may even have a secret sponsor who will pay the adoption fee for you...please ask us WHO our special cats are!

Weis Market Gift Card Program
IT SO EASY!!!!! Giant and Weis (food market) gift cards. They can be used the same as cash at any Giant & Weis store. The good thing however is One By One profits from you buying the card from us instead of just using cash at the store.
Both are available in various denominations - $10, $20, $25 & $50. We make 5% off these cards. It may not seem like a lot but if a lot of people started using them regularly it would really add up over a year's time frame. So it isn't buying anything that you really don't want and you can still help out the kitties.

BUILDING FUND.....
One by One has a TINY shelter where we house 40+ homeless cats. We are currentley at capacity and can take no more cats into our shelter.
We have set up a building fund to facilitate a new shelter. One by One, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non profit organization and donation are tax deductible.

About Us...
One By One, Inc is a 501(c) non-profit, cat rescue started in 1994 near Kutztown, PA . We house about 45 cats in a small 5 room heated/air conditioned shelter.
Adoption fees, Recycling cans, Donations, Fundraisers and Grants.
We receive NO Federal or local government funding.
If an adopted cat/kitten cannot be kept by the new owner, for whatever reason, per our policy it must be returned to One By One.
We ALWAYS welcome back our cats!

A pre-adoption home visit is required and follow-up phone calls and/or home visits are made to support a good match.
